Law n.º 48/2023, of 22 August establishes the specific regime for the compensation of damages arising from accidents at work of professional sports players.
A professional sports player is one who, following and as a result of a training process regulated and recognised by the respective sports federation, dedicates exclusively or primarily to the practice of a sport, under the terms regulated by law or collective agreement for the sector of activity.
